Kirsty is a Physiotherapist from Tauranga, New Zealand. She graduated from Auckland University of Technology and has spent the last four years working in private and outpatient musculoskeletal settings. Two in New Zealand and then the UK. Her passion for physiotherapy began following a background of sporting injuries in running, triathlon and underwater hockey. This passion for sport, empathetic nature, and desire to help others shapes her clinic practice. She understands the importance of returning to sport and endeavours to build a collaborative relationship with clients to support them in achieving their goals.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
I bring a competitive and passionate perspective shaped by my background as a New Zealand representative in Triathlon/Underwater Hockey. This experience has enhanced my understanding of sports injury treatment and prevention, particularly the importance of collaborative care between clients and therapists to get them back on the field. My caring nature and empathy for others creates a supportive environment. I’ll always be their number one supporter as I enjoy seeing people returning to the things they love.

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
Running with friends, spending time with loved ones, crocheting, dip in the ocean & of course learning to ski!

Who is someone you admire and why?
My Dad & his dedication to family/loved ones. He is always the no.1 supporter. He took up the same sport in order to support me through training and ended up loving it (& being quicker) than me!

Running San Sebastian Marathon recently! Loved every moment!
