Meet The Team

All the staff at Niseko Physio are highly professional and fully committed to our patients’ health. We actively keep up to date with the latest in injury management techniques to ensure that your experience with us is smooth and seamless, from first contact to last appointment. Our therapists are all highly trained and experienced, with degrees in physiotherapy from leading universities in the field. We practice an Australian style of physiotherapy.

Bevan Colless

Bevan has a degree in Sports Science from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney. Having worked for over a decade in our ski-resort clinics, he has a special interest in acute knee injuries. Bevan lectures around Asia to physiotherapists and runners, focusing on the latest developments in running injuries, snow-sports injuries, cycling injuries and bike fitting. He is a certified Running Injury Specialist by The Running Clinic and also a F.I.S.T. certified bike fitter. Having completed more than 15 Ironman distance triathlons he is also a certified Level 1 Triathlon Coach by Triathlon Australia.

Vanessa Colless

Vanessa has a degree in Medical Science and Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney. As co-founder of Asia Physio she has worked in Japan and Singapore for over 17 years, earning her excellent reputation as an accomplished physiotherapist. She is experienced in all areas of women’s health and also performs running biomechanical assessments.

Caden Allison

Caden is an experienced physiotherapist from Albany, Western Australia. He fell in love with Japan many years ago and has a keen interest in lower limb injuries, shoulder rehabilitation and vertigo management. He also has over six years of experience in the musculoskeletal field and is back for his second season in Niseko and now a specialist in snow sports injury management.

Cameron Grant

Cameron was born, raised and studied in Queensland, Australia. He works as a physiotherapist in the southern and northern hemisphere winters in Niseko and Mount Hotham Australia. He is part of the current physiotherapy team for the Canadian National Ski-Cross Team on the World Cup circuit. He was part of the physio team for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. Cameron is also studying for his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy and has Post grad qualifications the acute sporting knee, dry needling and more.

Emily Stull

Emily is a newlywed hailing from Ballarat, Australia. She has worked as a physiotherapist in private practice including clinical Pilates, as well as working with the Ballarat NB basketball team.

Emily has qualifications in vestibular physiotherapy, dry needling and sports physiotherapy. Her pateints are giving us rave reviews of her care already.

Outside of the clinic, Emily is a keen snowboarder and runner.

Hollie Maiorana

Hollie is a very experienced massage therapist who is also a new graduate physiotherapist. Hollie is from Moss Vale in NSW Australia. She will be working as a massage therapist in Niseko and take the opportunity to learn more about snow-sports physio while in the clinic.  Hollie is a tall strong therapist and loves to refresh her clients.

Isabella Kristensen

Izzy is returning for her second season in Niseko and also works as a physio in Thredbo Australia. Izzy is from Sydney Australia and works as a physio and as a massage therapist.

Izzy is also working as a physio with the Australian winter Para-Olympic team.

Kristyn Earl

Kristyn is one of our amazing physiotherapist from New Zealand who and working as a physiotherapist in one of the top clinics in London for the past 5 years.

Kristyn has a keen interest in lower limb injuries and loves utilising our new gym space where she will happily put you through your paces to get you back on the slopes.

She has further qualifications in managing back pain, dry needling/ acupuncture, shoulder rehabilitation and clinical pilates.

Monica Chea

Monica graduated as a remedial massage therapist at Victoria University in Australia. She has been working in Melbourne and Japan with patients suffering with chronic conditions, alleviating that with remedial, cupping and deep tissue manipulation.

Monica  incorporates  trigger point therapy, stretching, myofascial release and cupping in your treatment. When she’s not massaging, you’ll find her in yoga pants.

Yui Sakurai

Yui is a massage therapist from Saitama, Japan. She’s experienced in sports massage, and Shiatsu and can do either depending on your request. Don’t be fooled byher small stature – she is capable of giving a very strong massage. Yui practiced in Tokyo for two years and furthered her studies in in Chiang Mai, learning Thai massage. She really loves the feeling of making everyone happy after a massage.

When she’s not in the clinic she is chasing the powder. Last year she was in NZ shredding and massaging in Queenstown New Zealand.

Emma Cary

Emma is the manager of the Niseko Clinic and always keeps the reception running smoothly and efficiently. As a voice over artist, singer, comedian and author of a recently published children’s book (Ed and Brenda’s Big Adventure) she also ensures the mood in reception is lively and entertaining.

Katherine Stevens

Kat is one of our friendly and helpful receptionists who will help with all of your Physio and Massage enquiries.
Kat is an Australian level touch football player representing Australia at the Touch Football World Cup in Malaysia earlier this year. She has a passion for criminal justice, working professionally as a Parole Officer and Youth Justice Case Worker prior to coming to Niseko for the season.

Karli Hall

Karli hails from British Colombia Canada, and is a long term fan of winters, doing her first full season in Japan. She has helped set up the reception in the new clinic and is also working in our Cafe Cubanos a couple of shifts a week, making some mean lattes.
