What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
With my own background in sport, I understand how hard and frustrating it is to be told that you can’t do the activity you love because of your injury. This has given me a passion to try my best to keep all of my patients as involved as they can be in their sport or activity the whole way through their rehab journey. My role working in a sport’s team has helped me to come up with some creative ways to keep injured athletes involved in team training and game day.

Favourite Conditions to Treat:
Acute traumatic knee injuries. From my job working in rugby union I have seen a number of traumatic knee injuries happen on field and I realise how life altering and time consuming they can be. I really enjoy working with people through their whole rehab journey so that they can get back to the activity that they love. The rehab can also be a great way to help people build on their fundamentals so that they can come back even stronger.

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
I am an active person and so I love any activity that will get me outside. I try get to the beach or the snow as often as I can to surf and to snowboard. I can’t sit still either so I will often be playing sport or out for a run. Otherwise I will be spending my free time seeing my friends and family.

What would be your personal motto?
“She’ll be right”

Who is someone you admire and why?
Ned Brockman – his run across Australia shows a level of physical and mental toughness to push himself to the limit that I am in awe of. The fact that he does this for a cause bigger than himself to raise money and awareness for charity is incredible.

Your most-outstanding achievement:
My time spent in Spain on trial with a professional football team’s academy
