Serena is an Italian physiotherapist and personal trainer graduating in 2015.

She worked in orthopedic and neuropsychiatric environments, before specializing in manual therapy in Milan.

Loving sports (but not just Italian football!) she decided to move to Bali and take a master in water sports, starting to follow professional surfers. Wanting to discover more of the world, she then moved Dubai to work for a year.

She really loves sports and is especially passionate about the acrobatic environment, so when she got the opportunity to follow Cirque du Soleil as a “student” she moved to the USA with them.

From here she continued to discover the world while working as a Personal and Functional Circuit Trainer, discovering Mexico, Portugal before returning to Italy.

Serena started competing for the OCR and Calisthenics which brought her to Verbier, where she then fell in love with snowboarding and skiing.

After a year in the Swiss Alps, here she is, working as a masseuse for Asia Physio, in beautiful Niseko, full of energy and passion for helping others with health, wellness and motivation

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
I am really empathic, so I can understand and get connected with patients easily, whatever they need. Plus, being an athlete, I have had a lot of physio and massage, so I know how patients feel from that side.

Favourite Conditions to Treat:
Any kind of sport-related injury or problem, from massage to physio. I have a special love for upper backs, the trigger points you can find there are amazing!

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
All sports, especially acrobatics, plus I love snowboarding during winter and hiking and climbing during summer. Of course, hanging out with friends, but also meeting new people and discovering the world!

What would be your personal motto?
I always say “Volere è potere” which means “willing is power”. No excuses, if you really want something you will get it.

Who is someone you admire and why?
The artists of Cirque Du Soleil. Many of them are coming from very poor situations, with no money or clues, but with skills and willing to follow their dreams and passion. And they achieved them.

Your most-outstanding achievement:
Exiting my comfort zone for the first time and moving to Bali to start living my life to the fullest.
