Patrick graduated from Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia in 2016. After graduating, he relocated to Port Lincoln, a fishing town on the west coast of South Australia where he started his career working in private practice. Due to Port Lincoln’s remoteness, Patrick developed his skills in all aspects of Physiotherapy with MSK in particular becoming a passion of his. During this time, Patrick worked with a number of local Netball and Australian rules football clubs developing his assessment and management of a wide variety of MSK presentations.

After 4 years in Port Lincoln, Patrick returned to Adelaide to further his MSK career undertaking further training in the diagnosis and management of shoulder conditions, knee hip, and groin injuries. He has worked with a number of elite athletes in the fields of running, netball and crossfit. What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
Through sustaining and rehabilitating my own injuries, I understand how frustrating and limiting they can be. I believe a detailed assessment and understanding of the problem is the first step towards providing specific and personalised rehabilitation plans to help people return to what they love sooner.

Favourite Conditions to Treat
I’ve always enjoyed the complexity and problem solving required to understand & treat shoulder problems as well as using the most current evidence to help people manage and rehabilitate their knee injuries.

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
In the winter I love playing Aussie rules football and in the warmer months you’ll find me hitting the running trails or cruising up the coast to find a quiet beach camp.

What would be your personal motto?
A ship in the harbour is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for

Who is someone you admire and why?
Joel Selwood for his exceptional leadership qualities and leading the Cats to their 2022 AFL Premiership!

Your most-outstanding achievement:
Professionally, each time I see somebody I’ve treated return to their pre-injury level of sport, I feel a strong sense of achievement.
Personally, I believe my most outstanding achievements are all in front of me!
